Yep, it’s a mouth full alright! But you heard it correct! DENIM SKIRTS… yes I said it, denim skirts are BACK! Now, if I’m being totally honest I never thought this was a trend I would get back into. I’ve looked into old photos recently seeing my early to mid 2000s girl living her best life and I couldn’t help but think “Buzz, your girlfriend.. Woof!” Mainly because all I wore were the classic denim skirts with the “In” name brand shirt with their name displayed all across it. Thankfully trends evolve, am I right? Now days it’s like all past trends have just kind of mushed together into one, and to be honest, I’m DIGGING it! There has never been such a wide array of style before and it’s such a beautiful thing to see! Which brings me back to denim skirts. There are all kinds of them out there right now! From high waisted, to distressed, embellished, button downs, multi colored, colored denim.. I mean the list goes on and on!! If you’re a big Coachella follower you probably noticed this a ton then. I highly recommend you take a little look into if you haven’t. If you would even like I can do a complete post on differently styles and places you can find them. If you need a little inspiration as well I would be happy to tag some of my favorite bloggers in the post too.
What I love most about these denim skirts is just how easy it is to style them. You could take a simple white tee like I did with any style shoe you like! I paired it with a nude block heel from Steve Madden and some white earrings to dress it up. You could also pair it with a crop tank, a body suit, a crop top, band tee (my favorite), and if you’re feeling frisky a Lacey bra. Throw on some mules, booties, or your favorite Converse, Keds, or Vans and you’re good to go!

As the busiest part of Wedding Season passes most people tend to move on and focus on other things like Homecoming and Winter Formal etc. etc. etc. But if you are beyond that age you know Wedding Season truly never ends!
We had the pleasure of the going to/being a part of a beautiful Fall Wedding in Kansas City recently and as you can imagine with temperatures dropping it was becoming hard to find something I wouldn’t completely freeze my butt off in but wasn’t quite cold enough for a heavy jacket to tote around. I was also looking for something that I could be comfortable eating in (something not skin tight to show my food baby) and something I could dance and move around in. This dress was the answer and is something I can get SO much wear out of!
There are so many ways to pair THIS dress I feel like it could be endless! It would be gorgeous with a black fur vest and knee high boots, belted with booties, or belted with chunky retro heels.
I can’t believe I go back to work next week. Its been an amazing 3 1/2 months home with my little guy. I think back to the day we brought him home, how anxious I was but ready to have him here with us. I was a new mom and no clue what I was doing, but I quickly learned and began to overcome fears little by little. Like is his head going to fall off? NO. will be okay to cry just while I make his bottle? Yes. He has made our hearts so full and has made so many leaps. From lifting his head, scooting, grabbing things, babbling, blowing spit bubbles, and now learning how to sit up it just blows my mind to think about how quick he is growing up. I would be lying if I said it didn’t scare me to go to back to work and miss all of his little smiles and cuddles and new quirks he starts doing. However I’m ready to get a little bit of normality back into our routine and I know it will be good for all of us! I’m so happy that God has Brought this little angel into our lives. We love you little fox.
Side note, how handsome does my Husband look?! All makeup details on this look can be found on my Fall Makeup Post. Have a great day everbody!
So as you know there are two of my favorite places that constantly run amazing sales! Its not always easy trying to go shopping and finding good bargains especially if you’re on a budget and trying to find the best bang for your buck (without having to go to forever21 and buying something you may only get a couple wears out of) but right now is the time to do so if you need to! With Fall and Winter right around the corner sweater weather is becoming more prevalent, especially here in Kansas! Below are some amazing finds that I think any comfy chic gal would die for! I can’t wait to do some awesome fall fashion blog posts in these awesome finds and show you how I would style them!

I’m going to keep this short and sweet! I had so many questions from friends, family, and readers about my baby shower dress I thought I would go back and touch on this really quick! I found my dress from Express, I did have to have it altered slightly to be more Bump friendly but, it was an easy fix and I would highly reccomend this dress if you’re looking for something to wear while pregnant for an event. Trust me I remember close to the end when it was so hard to dress my baby bump comfortably and cute, this dress is both! However you can totally wear this even if you’re not pregnant (obviously right, this wasn’t made for maternity)! There were few sizes left last time I had checked but incase you have missed it Express is having 40% off their entire site so if you were thinking about grabbing it, now is your chance! Plus you can get a head start on buying all your Fall and winter denim!
So when we think of Fall we normally think maroon, burgundy, brown, yellow, orange, etc am I right? While I LOVE those colors (because again I’m basic when it comes to fall) people also over look one of the prettiest and softest colors of fall, Blush! You will find this color all over right now and for many great reasons! It compliments almost any skin tone and it’s the new nude! It goes with almost any outfit and can be used as a “soft” pop of color for those who are leery of being bold (it’s okay)! If you checked out my last post you saw some of my Fall items I’m loving and have ordered. Here are a couple others I’m crushing on as well!

Hello Fall! Ughhhh how you have been long awaited. There is just something so wonderful about cozy cardigans, fluffy scarves, booties, hot coffee, the leaves changing, and the brisk breezes of Fall weather. However, here in Kansas we haven’t quite been so fortunate to have that just yet except, for the early morning hours. You know, like sweater weather right when you wake up but then by noon you deeply regret it and its back to tank top weather. Fall, you are playing us so hard! But, that doesn’t mean we can’t get a head start on fall essentials, am I right? I am so Basic when it comes to Fall, and I am A-OKAY with that! If you are curious about the sizing on the cardigans I ordered a small and they are slightly oversized which I like. If you like a more fitted cardigan I would go ahead and size down. Im pretty excited for these fall picks and I have a feeling they’re going to sell out fast!
