The perfect EASY Fall makeup Look!

 – You can buy THIS sweater here –

The leaves have started to fall, the air is finally starting to feel brisk, and it’s that time of year you may also notice your skin changing. Maybe not just by losing that gorgeous summer glow from the Sun Gods but also losing some of that glorious (and maybe not glorious for my combo/oily gals) hydration the hot humid air summer lends you. So with changing skin tones comes changing your makeup tones!

Now I personally still like to self tan (I love THIS self tanner and swear it gives the best golden streak free color) to keep year round color but I love to change my makeup routine. I feel like makeup truly can set your mood so what better way to help get in the Fall Spirit than to incorporate those gorgeous brown, tan, and Burgundy tones. Plus they are so complimentary on fairing skin tones! Some of my favorites colors are Kat Von D Bow n Arrow , MAC Kinda Sexy , MAC Sin , and Anastasia Beverly Hills Ashton .

My current go to Fall Look consists of darker brows, bold lashes, and a dark neutral lip. I will list all details below of the products used to accomplish this look.

Now I’m normally a oily skin sufferer but during pregnancy I became really dry around the outer parts of my face and extremely oily in my t-zone. Now most people would be like you’re getting a compromise isn’t that good? Yes, but no. I found myself looking for a new skin care routine that wouldn’t over dry my already dry areas but would also help control my oily areas that were tending to break out more. So with a lot of trial and error I finally came across a cleanser that helped fight off oil without turning my skin into the Sahara Desert. The brand is Image Skin Care and I have turned to them for my entire skin care regimen! I use the Salicylic Acid Acne Facial Cleanser and it is Heaven! After using that three times a week I follow up with their Medicated Acne Masque. Now I don’t suffer from terrible Acne by any means but I do still have those crazy hormonal (especially postpartum) break outs.   I feel like this help keep my skin in check and when I do get some little guys that like to pop up and say hello its quick to rid them! After I wash my face (and on the days I use the masque) I follow up with their Mattifying SPF 50 lotion. Its very thick but not heavy by any means. It is the perfect mixture of hydration that you can feel penetrate into your skin but leaves you with a matte no shine finish. Its so perfect in my honest opinion that I use this as my makeup primer because I feel like it really grabs onto my makeup and keeps it in place all day!

I hope you all enjoyed this little skin care and makeup post! I will try and do an updated makeup routine every month since I like to try new products all the time but if I don’t change anything I will definitely update you on products I’ve found and am loving! Have a wonderful Veteran’s Day.

Chic Fall Wedding Attire

As the busiest part of Wedding Season passes most people tend to move on and focus on other things like Homecoming and Winter Formal etc. etc. etc. But if you are beyond that age you know Wedding Season truly never ends!

We had the pleasure of the going to/being a part of a beautiful Fall Wedding in Kansas City recently and as you can imagine with temperatures dropping it was becoming hard to find something I wouldn’t completely freeze my butt off in but wasn’t quite cold enough for a heavy jacket to tote around. I was also looking for something that I could be comfortable eating in (something not skin tight to show my food baby) and something I could dance and move around in. This dress was the answer and is something I can get SO much wear out of!

There are so many ways to pair THIS dress I feel like it could be endless! It would be gorgeous with a black fur vest and knee high boots, belted with booties, or belted with chunky retro heels.

I can’t believe I go back to work next week. Its been an amazing 3 1/2 months home with my little guy. I think back to the day we brought him home, how anxious I was but ready to have him here with us. I was a new mom and no clue what I was doing, but I quickly learned and began to overcome fears little by little. Like is his head going to fall off? NO. will be okay to cry just while I make his bottle? Yes. He has made our hearts so full and has made so many leaps. From lifting his head, scooting, grabbing things, babbling, blowing spit bubbles, and now learning how to sit up it just blows my mind to think about how quick he is growing up. I would be lying if I said it didn’t scare me to go to back to work and miss all of his little smiles and cuddles and new quirks he starts doing. However I’m ready to get a little bit of normality back into our routine and I know it will be good for all of us! I’m so happy that God has Brought this little angel into our lives. We love you little fox.

Side note, how handsome does my Husband look?! All makeup details on this look can be found on my Fall Makeup Post. Have a great day everbody!

Blushing Fall Beauties

So when we think of Fall we normally think maroon, burgundy, brown, yellow, orange, etc am I right? While I LOVE those colors (because again I’m basic when it comes to fall) people also over look one of the prettiest and softest colors of fall, Blush! You will find this color all over right now and for many great reasons! It compliments almost any skin tone and it’s the new nude! It goes with almost any outfit and can be used as a “soft” pop of color for those who are leery of being bold (it’s okay)! If you checked out my last post you saw some of my Fall items I’m loving and have ordered. Here are a couple others I’m crushing on as well!

Maternity Pictures

So where to begin!? I am absolutely IN LOVE with how our pictures turned out! I could not be happier. Thank you so much Elly Bean Photography for capturing these moments! You seriously work magic!

For anyone looking for a maternity photographer I HIGHLY recommend her! She is so kind and personable! I am a slightly awkward person when it comes to having pictures taken and she made everything feel so easy and natural. Elly was also very helpful in guiding us on what to do or what looks great, she even kept in mind that I had a “favorite” side for pictures! I know silly but little details like that always make me feel great because I feel confident in certain camera angles.

We can’t wait to use her again for Roman’s newborn pictures! I’m so excited to see what she will come up with! Thank you again so much Elly!!!

Fourth of July Outfit Inspiration

fourth collage-2

So I always look forward to the Fourth of July because we get to spend time with our family and friends which is always fun because we get to see people we don’t always get to see! Plus with baby almost here it’s nice to just get out!

Normally I would find a cute red white or blue swimsuit with a fun tank and shorts or cover up but since I am so pregnant right now I am limited on cute clothes and swimsuits. However pregnant or not I thought these items would be great to tie into your Fourth of July wardrobe plus, who doesn’t love a good red lip?!

30 Week Bump Date

So this week I hit the 30 Week mark! 3rd trimester exhaustion has definitely started to kick in and I’ve heard it only gets worse! As of lately I really haven’t been getting too much sleep😞Heart burn has been a real issue these last couple weeks and it hits me really bad at night. I’ve talked with my doctor and he has just re-recommended trying to eat small meals and not eating past 6pm since mine has been so awful. I have also struggled with insomnia something fierce this last week, I just can’t seem to get comfortable at all (heart burn not helping of course), So he has reccomended trying some Tylenol PM. To top off this wonderful last week I also woke up covered in hives last night! Now they did go away with a little bit of Benadryl so I’m hoping it was just a one time thing. Maybe a little stress of baby coming and feeling like I still have so much to do could have brought it on?! Aside from heart burn, little sleep, and hives though Week 30 really hasn’t been too bad! Little man has been VERY active (I love feeling his little movements)! I honestly cherish every little moment and movement that I can because I know there’s not too much longer before I’ll be missing those kicks and hiccups. However, I would be lying if I said that I also can’t wait to meet him and finally see his sweet little face! This Sunday is our baby shower so I will be posting lots of pictures and a blog all about that soon!

Xoxo,

Danielle 💕
